Colette Lafia is a certified Spiritual Director and author of Comfort & Joy: Simple Ways to Care for Ourselves & Others (Conari Press). Comfort & Joy was Colette’s ode to the many everyday rituals that add nourishment, comfort, and care to our lives. Her premise is that by paying greater attention to the everyday gifts in our lives, such as taking a walk, gardening, cooking, or listening to the rain, we can deepen our appreciation for simple, everyday blessings that surround us.

Colette conducts Comfort Circle workshops and provides individual Spiritual Direction. She is an educator and part-time school librarian.
Duties: Conduct a book serialization campaign and mailing to a list of national magazines; compile an archive of all past media interviews (TV, Radio, etc.); pitch national conference guest speaker opportunities.
Intern will learn how to conduct a book serialization campaign, learn how to craft effective press releases, conduct media outreach (pitch letters, media kit, follow-up calls, etc.)
Compensation: $500 stipend for six weeks (8-12hrs per week)
Skills required: Emphasis on book publicity, communications know-how (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), creative thinker, detailed-oriented.
Where: Working primarily off-site with preferably one on-site day per week with author.
