Ok folks. We realize the economy is a bit depressing right now. Things are still up in the air at the SFChronicle, and we hear that a few more publishing houses cut their staff last week. It’s hard to be happy when you’re worried whether that new book you just signed will ever see the light of day.
Thirsty Thursday is not a happy hour in the traditional sense. First off, there aren’t any specially priced drinks. Prices are decent though, and we’ll have a few appetizers to share for any folks who come early.
Think of Thirsty Thursday at Thirsty Bear like the place you can fall back on to get new ideas, meet new people, and exchange a good deal of business cards. You never know who you might meet. There will be people from the book world, the tech world, the magazine world, and anyone else who wants to join. Plus, NCBPMA board members will be there to listen to your suggestions and maybe ask you to be on our next panel!
So get out of the office a bit earlier this Thursday, April 16, and head over to 661 Harrison at 5:30 PM. We’ll have name tags, and plenty of ice breakers to get the conversation going. All you need to do is drink beer.
